What our survey found
On inspection, our team identified that the internal walls were constructed with double-layered plasterboard, with insulation present in both the wall cavity and the floor cavity. Moisture readings taken through the wall confirmed the problem was not superficial — some areas returned readings as high as 53.6% WME, well beyond what a healthy wall should show.

Our remediation process
With the extent of contamination confirmed, Pircsa carried out a full containment and remediation process to protect the rest of the workplace and ensure the contamination was completely removed:
- Containment system installed to isolate the affected area
- Floor protection throughout the work zone
- HEPA air filtration running continuously to capture airborne spores
- Controlled strip-out of the affected plasterboard and insulation
- Post strip-out cleaning of the entire work area
- Structural drying with industrial dehumidification equipment to bring the space back to a safe moisture benchmark

The result
Once works were complete, the site underwent independent post-remediation verification and was issued a clearance certificate, confirming it was safe for staff to return to.
